Using 2 Point ROI

Introduction

Synapse automatically detects a Region of Interest (ROI), based on congruent density values, on an image when you select two control points. The first two points should be located on opposite sides, in the outermost section of the region. You can add up to eight intermediate points between the two control points. Additional points provide greater control and accuracy in identifying the region.

Note:

If you place the control points too close together, Synapse cannot create an ROI shape.

Steps

  1. Right-click the image to display the image context menu.
  2. Select Annotations > 2 point ROI.
  3. Click two points on opposite sides of the Region of Interest. Synapse creates an ROI shape.
  4. Optional: Press the ESC key to cancel the operation.
  5. Left-click an active ROI border to create an intermediate control point. An intermediate point can be selected and dragged to a different location.
  6. Optional: To reposition an ROI:
    1. Left-click inside of the ROI and drag it to another location.
    2. Release the left mouse button to update the ROI image and corresponding measurements.
