Customizing Measurements for Annotations

Introduction

In the User Settings, you can customize which measurements display and the order of the displayed measurements for the following annotations:

  • Circle
  • Elliptical ROI
  • Freehand ROI
  • Polygonal ROI
  • 2 Point ROI
  • Rectangular ROI

For example, Synapse does not display any circle measurements by default. However, you can select which measurements Synapse displays when you add a circle to an image.

Steps

  1. To access User Settings, do one of the following:

If you want to do this...

Complete these steps...

Open User Settings from the Viewer.

Right-click User Settings .

Open User Settings from the Worklist.

Click  User Settings on the Worklist toolbar.

Open User Settings from PowerJacket.

Click  User Settings on the PowerJacket toolbar.

  1. Click Image Display > Annotations.
  2. Select an annotation from the drop-down list.
  3. In the Available combo box, select all the measurements you want to display when you create that annotation.

Tip:

Click the CTRL key for multiple selections.

  1. Click the Arrow to move your selections to the Selected combo box.
  2. Optional: Do any of the following:

    If you want to do this...

    Choose this option...

    Move the selected measurement higher or lower in the Selected combo box list.

    Click the up arrow or down arrow to move the selected measurement.

     

    Remove a selected measurement from the Selected combo box.

    Click the Arrow .

Results

When you create an annotation, Synapse displays the measurement options in the Selected combo box.

Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.

Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.
