Configuring Internet Explorer

Introduction

Careful attention to browser configuration settings helps to ensure the best Synapse performance. Some default settings must be modified, so that the Internet Explorer browser recognizes and defines the Synapse server and the Synapse 3D server. Note that some settings are required and others are optional.

Configuration Settings

Note:

  • The tables in this section describe only the Internet Explorer options that affect Synapse performance. These tables do not comprise a comprehensive list of Internet Explorer options. Unless otherwise indicated, selection values in the table below are from the Internet Explorer 11 browser, even if they also apply to other Internet Explorer browser versions.
  • The Internet Explorer/Edge IE ModeSettings Check indicator will provide a status of the Internet Explorer/Edge IE Modeoptions that affect Synapse performance when the Thin Component is installed.
  • All Internet Explorer accessibility options are unsupported.
