Using Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode Settings Check

Introduction

The Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode Settings Check indicator will display in the PowerJacket, Worklist, and Viewer providing the state of the Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode configuration for Synapse on the workstation for the current user. In addition, the icon can be used to open a report detailing the status check.

Note:

  • The Thin Component is required for the Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode Settings Check to function.
  • The Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode Settings Check is not available on Chrome.

Steps

  1. View the Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode Settings Check indicator in the desired window (Worklist, PowerJacket, or Viewer), located to the left of the logged in user name:

    Explanation

    There are two possible reasons:

    • Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode settings are configured correctly; no issues have been detected.

      Tooltip message: Configuration Optimal

    • Optional settings are not configured.

      Tooltip message: Configuration Non-Optimal

    Mandatory Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode setting(s) not configured correctly.

    Tooltip message: Configuration Degraded

     

    Note:

    If the Thin Component is not installed, no visual indicator will be displayed.

  2. Optional: Click the Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode Settings Check indicator to open a window displaying a report detailing the status of each configured setting, along with the overall status in the lower-left corner. Information for each setting will be provided according to the status displayed in the Actual column:
    • Settings correctly configured display in Green
    • Optional settings not configured display in Yellow
    • Mandatory settings with configuration issues display in Orange

    Close the window after reviewing the report.
