Synapse 3D Support

Introduction

Synapse 3D operates in two modes:

  • Synapse 3D Console Mode
    • Launches Synapse 3D within a Synapse 5 viewport
    • Offers selected functionality
  • Synapse 3D Desktop Mode
    • Opens Synapse 3D in a separate application

Note:

  • Console mode can be used in either Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode or Google Chrome while desktop mode is only available in Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode.
  • Synapse 3D is supported for the home data source only.

Synapse 3D Console Mode

Synapse 3D console mode does not require Synapse 3D to be installed on your workstation but must be configured on the server. Console Mode is supported on Windows OS with Internet Explorer/Edge IE Mode or Chrome.

Synapse 3D Desktop Mode

Synapse 3D desktop mode allows the user to launch Synapse 3D in a separate application window directly from the viewer. If the Synapse 3D application is installed on your workstation, you can launch Synapse 3D desktop mode from the following areas of Synapse:
