Reordering Series Thumbnails

Introduction

If you have the Manage Series Order permission, you can reorder the series thumbnails in the PowerJacket and Worklist Series Pickers and update the series order as displayed in the viewer. Since changes are applied at the study level, all users who view the study will see the thumbnails in the order you determine.

Steps

  1. In PowerJacket or in the Worklist, right-click a study to display the context menu, and select Open Series Picker.
  2. Optional: Use your mouse to resize the series thumbnail window- drag the side or corner of the thumbnail window.
  3. Drag and drop the series thumbnails to the new, preferred order. A yellow line indicates a new position. A Saved Successfully message displays to let you know your changes are saved.

Note:

If you are moving a thumbnail to a target location that is outside of the current viewable area, you will automatically scroll while dragging the image.

  1. When prompted, refresh the Viewer to apply the changes.

Note:

  • The following image types cannot be rearranged: bookmarked series, non-image DICOM series, and All Images series.
  • Series cannot be reordered from within the Viewer Series Pickers.
  • CR/DX studies use the All Images Series and therefore re-ordered images might not display in the desired order after refresh unless the following setting is enabled in Properties/Series: order the all images series according to the Series Picker thumbnail order.
  • Changes to the series order affects the study for all users.

Results

Synapse saves and applies the series reorder changes for the study. After you refresh the Viewer, the new sort order displays in the Viewer, PowerJacket, Standalone PowerJacket, and Viewer Anywhere Series Picker.
