Dynamic Reading Protocols Overview
Introduction
Dynamic reading protocols are user specific and you can change your dynamic reading protocols to best suit your needs. See Configuring Dynamic Reading Protocols.
Another advantage of dynamic reading protocols is when you want to view mixed modalities for current and priors for which a reading protocols does not exist. For example, if you have a CR study as the current and a CT as a prior, the dynamic reading protocols allow Synapse to display the current in a 1x1 page layout and the priors in a 2x2 page layout:

Dynamic Reading Protocol Options
You can change the following options of dynamic reading protocol:
- Apply Tools to
- Text overlays
- View content
- Tile format
- Page layout
- Comparison arrangement
Synapse generates the name of the dynamic reading protocol in the reading protocol drop-down menu in the Viewer Toolbar with the following information:
Dynamic > Current modality > Prior modality
For example if the current is a CT and the prior is a CR and MR, Synapse displays Dynamic CT, CR, and MR in the reading protocol drop-down menu.
