Configuring Dynamic Reading Protocols

Introduction

You can configure dynamic reading protocol behavior for each modality.

Steps

  1. To access User Settings, do one of the following:

If you want to do this...

Complete these steps...

Open User Settings from the Viewer.

Right-click User Settings .

Open User Settings from the Worklist.

Click  User Settings on the Worklist toolbar.

Open User Settings from PowerJacket.

Click  User Settings on the PowerJacket toolbar.

  1. In the Reading Protocols tab, select Dynamic Layout.
  2. Select the modality type from the drop-down list for Dynamic Layout panel.
  3. Do the following:

If you want to do this...

Choose this option...

Apply tools, such as window level, to all images in a series.

In the Apply Tools to drop-down menu, select All Images.

Apply tools, such as window level, to selected images.

In the Apply Tools to drop-down menu, select Selected Images.

Display text overlays for the study.

In the Text Overlays drop-down menu, select Yes.

Displays each series in separate viewports.

In the View Content drop-down menu, select Series.

Displays All Images in each viewport.

In the View Content drop-down menu, select All Images.

Specify the number of images or upcount displayed in a viewport.

In the Tile format drop-down menu, select the upcount.

  1. In the Page Layout panel, click Page Layout and select a page layout.

Note:

  • The asymmetric option is not available in Page Layout.
  • The Page Layout option determines what options are available in the Comparison Arrangement drop-down menu.
  1. In the Comparison Arrangement panel, select how you want your current and priors to display. See Dynamic Reading Protocol Comparison Options for more information about comparison arrangement options.

Note:

  • Changes in the page layout do not affect the comparison arrangement preview.
  • For one monitor workstations, all monitor-based comparison arrangements automatically default to view-based comparison arrangements.

Results

Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.

Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.
