Density Value Overview
For CT studies, the Hounsfield Unit displays. For all other image types, pixel data values display.
Depending on the modality, a Modality Lookup Table (LUT) might be applied to the pixel value. In this case, the larger value can correspond to either the darker area of the image or the brighter area of the image.
Note: |
The density units for mean, standard deviation, maximum value, and minimum values vary depending on the modality. For example, CT uses Hounsfield Unit, and PT uses Standard Uptake Values (SUV). To change the SUV correction method, see Change the SUV for PT Modalities. |
Additional Considerations for CT Images
Data value measurement is performed on the images before image processing is applied for CT images. When a preset including image processing is applied on CT images, the data value measurement is not changed. The CT value (Hounsfield unit) on a lossy compressed image might differ slightly from the CT value on the original or lossless compressed images.
Additional Considerations for Fujifilm CR or DX Images
Data value measurement is performed on the images after Fujifilm Image processing is applied for Fujifilm CR or DX images. When a preset including image processing is applied on Fujifilm CR or DX images, the data value measurement changes.
