Configuring Text Overlay Settings

Introduction

When you select any of the overlay settings, Synapse automatically applies these settings when you open a study on your workstation.

Steps

  1. To access User Settings, do one of the following:

If you want to do this...

Complete these steps...

Open User Settings from the Viewer.

Right-click User Settings .

Open User Settings from the Worklist.

Click  User Settings on the Worklist toolbar.

Open User Settings from PowerJacket.

Click  User Settings on the PowerJacket toolbar.

  1. Click Image Display and select Overlays.
  2. Do either of the following:

    If you want to do this...

    Choose this option...

    Show text overlays when you open a study.

    Select the Show text overlays check box.

    Allow the text overlays to display while scrolling through images.

    Select the Enable persist overlay mode check box.

    Note: This setting is enabled by default.

    Show bitmap overlays (burned in bitmap overlays in the DICOM file) on images when you open a study or when you change to a different reading protocol.

    Select the Show bitmap overlays check box.

Results

Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.

Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.

Synapse displays the image slider bar for a series that has 15 or more images regardless of whether Show text overlays is selected or not.
