Configuring Mammography Settings

Introduction

Mammography has several options for managing mammography images. Synapse also supports MG Tomosynthesis series.

Steps

  1. To access User Settings, do one of the following:

If you want to do this...

Complete these steps...

Open User Settings from the Viewer.

Right-click User Settings .

Open User Settings from the Worklist.

Click  User Settings on the Worklist toolbar.

Open User Settings from PowerJacket.

Click  User Settings on the PowerJacket toolbar.

  1. Click Image Display and select Series.
  2. In the MG Series panel, do any of the following:  

    If you want to do this...

    Choose this option...

    • Automatically magnify breast images when opening a study, so that the breast tissue of each image fills as much of each applicable viewport as possible.

          or

    • Automatically align the height and centering of breast pairs when opening a study.

    Select Zoom to Breast Bounds and Align Images.

    Automatically show Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) markers when opening a study.

    Note: Available only for MG studies.

    Select Show CAD.

    Apply the same scale of magnification and percentage of window level change that was made on one image, to all images that have the same view code and view modifier.

    Select Propagate Zoom and Relative W/L to All Images.

Results

Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.

Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.
