Configuring MG Stack
Introduction
You can configure near match for mammography studies. See MG Stacking for information on how the Make Stack protocols higher priority than same-series protocols option affects the MG stack reading protocol priority.
Steps
- To access User Settings, do one of the following:

- In the Reading Protocols tab, select MG Near Match.
- Optional: If you want the MG Stack protocols to be highest priority for initial display, select the Make Stack protocols higher priority than same-series protocols option.
- In the MG Stack Near-Match
panel, do any following:

Choose this option...
Enable near-match for MG Stack protocols.
Select Enable stack near-match.
Synapse activates additional near-match MG stack options.
Set the maximum number of MG stacks defined in the reading protocol that can be empty for the current study.
In Current Study Near-Match Boundaries panel, select the number from the drop-down list for Maximum number of empty protocol stacks.
Set the maximum number of MG stacks that Synapse would not display by a reading protocol for a current study.
In Current Study Near-Match Boundaries panel, select the number from the drop-down list for Maximum number of extra study stacks.
Display the maximum number of the empty protocol stack for prior studies.
In Prior Study Near-Match Boundaries panel, select the number from the drop-down list Maximum number (scaled) of empty protocol stacks.
Display the maximum number of extra study stacks for prior studies.
In Prior Study Near-Match Boundaries panel, select the number from the drop-down list Maximum number (scaled) of extra study stacks.
- In the MG Stack 'All Priors' Sort
panel, do either of the following:

Choose this option...
Display newest study first and the oldest study last in the stack.
Select Stack studies in acquired order, most recent to oldest.
Display the oldest study first and the newest study last in the stack.
Select Stack studies in acquired order, oldest to most recent.
Results
Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.
Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.
