All Images Display Indicator Overview

Introduction

What Synapse displays in the Series Selection Menu (SSM) depends on whether or not you select the Show Indicator option for All Images Displayed in User Settings.

Selecting the Show Indicator Option

When you select the All Images Displayed Show Indicator option in the Image Display menu of the User Settings, the following occurs:

  • The Series Selection Menu (SSM) indicates whether or not you have viewed all the images in a series:
    • If a check mark is next to a bold-text series, you have seen all the images in the series.

      Example: Sagittal-300(1)

    • If the series is in italic font, you have seen some but not all the images in the series.

      Example: L-Spine-2 (112)

    • If the series text is not in either italic or bold font, you have not reviewed the images.

      Example: disc-302(1)

When you press F8 before you have reviewed all the images in a study, Synapse automatically displays the SSM and the message "All Images in study have not been viewed."

The SSM closes automatically when you select an option from the SSM or click outside the SSM. This menu resets anytime you close or refresh the Viewer.

    Note:

    • You must have dictation privileges to view the All Images Display indicator.
    • You must refresh the Viewer to display the new content in the SSM.

  • For Mammography studies only, a check mark will appear in the thumbnails shown in the Series Picker in the Viewer, Floating Series Viewer, or Series Picker in the PowerJacket to identify that the images have been viewed when all of the images in a series are displayed in full screen (1-up).

Clearing the Show Indicator Option

When you clear the All Images Displayed Show Indicator option in the Image Display menu of the User Settings, Synapse does the following in the SSM:

  • All currently displayed series in the viewports have check mark next to the italicized and bold-text series.

    Example: CORONAL-300(1)

  • All series not currently displayed in the viewport is in regular font.

    Example: SAGITTAL -300 (1)

The SSM closes automatically when you select an option from the SSM or click outside the SSM.

In addition, a check mark will not appear in the thumbnails shown in the Series Picker in the Viewer, Floating Series Viewer, or Series Picker in the PowerJacket when the Mammography study images have been displayed in full screen (1-up).
