Accessing MPR View
Introduction
MPR view changes a series into reformatted axial, sagittal, or coronal views that Synapse displays. Use the specialized context menu options within the reformatted series.

Use only with CT, MR, NM, and PT modalities. |
Steps
- Open a study.
- Right-click a series to display the image context menu.
- Use any of the following options to
open an MPR/3D view:
If you want to ...
Do this ...
Show a 2x2 tile with generated axial, sagittal, or coronal MPR views.
Click MPR/3D > Quadrant View.
Show a 1x1 tile of the reformatted axial view.
Click MPR/3D > Axial.
Show a 1 x1 tile of the reformatted sagittal view.
Click MPR/3D > Sagittal.
Show a 1x1 tile view of the reformatted coronal view.
Click MPR/3D > Coronal.
- Use any of the following methods to scroll through the images:
- Mouse wheel or dynamic scroll
- Keyboard Shortcuts for MPR View
- Drag either the horizontal or vertical intersecting lines.
- Use any of the following additional options for MPR/3D view:

Cycles through the image planes: oblique, axial, coronal, and sagittal. |
Click MPR/3D > Cycle Orthogonal Plane. |
Cycles through projection mode options: MPR, MIP, MinIP, and MPVR. |
Click MPR/3D > Cycle Projection. |
Show the image plane with no slab thickness, as rendered by Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR). |
Click MPR/3D > MPR. |
Show the image plane rendered by the Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP). |
Click MPR/3D > MIP. |
Show the image plane rendered by the Minimum Intensity Projection (MinIP). |
Click MPR/3D > MinIP. |
Show the image plane averaged by Multiple Planar Volume Reconstruction (MPVR). |
Click MPR/3D > MPVR. |
Change the slab thickness. |
Click MPR/3D > Input Thickness. |
Return to the 2D view. |
Click MPR > MPR on/off. |
Additional Options
Use any one of the following options for MPR/3D view:

on the icon menu.
