Using Active Overlays

Introduction

Use active overlays to update or edit the value of the overlay on the image or series within the viewport. See Active Overlays Overview for a list of available active overlays.

Steps

  1. Hover your mouse over the active overlay you want to change. A rectangle displays next to the text overlay. Example:
    Z:
  2. Change the active overlay in any of the following ways:
    • Enter a value in the rectangle.
    • Click either the minus sign (-) or the plus sign (+) above the rectangle.
    • Select a value from a drop-down menu.
    • Scroll through the images using the slide bar.
  3. Press enter or click outside the active overlay to accept changes.
  4. Optional: Press ESC to discard your changes.

Additional Information

Keep the following in mind:

  • When you enter a value that is above the range for a particular text overlay field, Synapse enters the maximum value of that range.
  • When you enter a value that is below the range, Synapse enters a minimum value.
