Saving Snapshots
Introduction
Synapse uses Snapshot to save and restore display states for images in studies. Whether initiated automatically or manually, Snapshot saves image information such as page layout, tile format, annotation, scroll position, image orientation, zoom/pan setting, image presets, window level, slab thickness, and comparisons if available. This feature is especially useful for a Radiologist interruption workflow.
Note: |
Snapshots might display differently with different Synapse versions. |
You can save Snapshots in two different ways:
- User created Snapshots are stored by default in the My Collections folder, but you also have the option of storing them in custom Collections folders that you create.
Note: |
You can save Snapshots outside of a collection, by selecting None in the Save Snapshot dialog box. Synapse associates the Snapshot to the study. |
- Auto-create Snapshots, which are configured in User Settings, save the image information for when you open the study again.
The Snapshot icon is available in Worklists, Collections, and in the Viewer toolbar.
Note: | If you enable Automatically save Snapshot in User Settings and you have made a change to the study such as changing the window level, Synapse displays an asterisk (*) in the Snapshot dialog box to indicate that Synapse will save a Snapshot when you close the study. |
