Reference Lines Overview
Introduction
By default, when you open a study, the first and last reference lines are visible. You can change reference line options either through the User Settings or the image context menu.
When you select a series, Synapse displays the corresponding image reference lines for the reference series. The lines depict the selected image location and position on the reference series. The cross-reference is the line number that displays in the lower right corner of each image (IM: X).
For CT, PT, and MR studies, reference lines illustrate the relationship between images in different series:
- Reference lines are shared across 2D and a single view in 3D such as axial, coronal, and sagittal.
Options for Configuring Reference Lines
You can configure reference lines in the following ways:
- Open User settings to configure a reference line option to display automatically when you open a study. See Configuring Reference Line Settings
