Choosing Synapse Localization Options
Introduction
Choose the localization option for your Synapse workstation in User Settings.

toolbar.- Click General to display setting options.
- Click to open the Language drop-down list and select your preferred
language. Synapse provides the following localization options:
- English
- Japanese
- Spanish
- French
- German
- Italian
- Polish
- Turkish
- Optional: Select Auto
from the Language drop-down menu to select the language from the preferred
language list in your browser settings.
Synapse uses a best-match algorithm for selecting a language if an exact match is not available. For example, if the browser preferred language list contains Hungarian and French (Canada) but the available language in SWAT is French (France), Synapse selects French (France) as the best match. If Synapse does not find a suitable match for any of the browser languages, Synapse defaults to English (US). - To display your newly selected preference, log out of Synapse and then log back in.
Results
Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.
Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.
- The format supported for use in the Date Time fields throughout Synapse is based on your localization selection.
- Note that if your localization is English (US), time is expressed in 12 hour time (AM and PM). All other languages are expressed in 24 hour time.
